11th May - Mother's Day: we will be celebrating Mothers all week at kindy (from 5th – 9th May)

15th May – International Day of Families

19th – 23rd May - Under Eight’s Week – “Children Celebrating Outdoor Play and Learning” 

20th May World Bee Day

11th -17th May - Food Allergy Week and focus on Healthy Eating information (QA2)

19th - 25th May – National Volunteers Week - A time for thanks and celebration of the incredible work done year after year by volunteers at your early childhood service, including the Management Committee. 

21st May- Vera Lacaze Open Day: Pupil free day for Callistemon kindy group. 

21st  May – National Simultaneous Storytime. ‘The Truck Cat’ by Deborah Frenkel

23rd May – World Turtle Day

27th  May – 3rd June – Reconciliation Week – 2025 Theme : ‘Bridging Now to Next’ 

(including National Day of Healing / National Sorry Day (26th May)

27th & 29th May: Kindergarten excursions to Windy Acres Farm.

June 

5th  June - World Environment Day 

8th June-  World Oceans 

11th June – ‘Thank a First Responders Day’

24th & 27th June: Pyjama Day

NB: Each group will engage in learning experiences centred on these days as close as possible to the actual date that is listed above.
